No Internet Access for the Last Few Days

Just an update on why I have been unable to post anything new to the blog for the last few days.

Apparently the system here was hacked so they shutdown the Internet access in order to trace the source. They have not been successful thus far and many patients have expressed concerns about not being able to contact their families.

Right not they enabled the two nodes with the two community computers in the lounge area to have Internet access. Patients have had to take turns for 15 minute durations.

Our departure date is September 26th. If this issue has not been resolved by then I will post my updates when I return home. Stay tuned..........

Fourth Spinal Stem Cell Injection Completed

Today I had my fourth spinal stem cell injection. One more left to go sometime next week.

I did not experience any complications. As usual with this procedure I had to be on bed rest for a period of six hours. My progress at this point seems more gradual and less pronounced. Still optimistic that I will continue to see much improvement over the next few months.

Yesterday I contacted my Neurologist to make an appointment to see him when I get back. My plan is to arrange to continue with physical therapy as well as independent workouts at home.

A few more patients arrived at the hospital this week. An older gentleman with Ataxia and a young boy with optical nerve damage. The first is from Australia and the second is from the U.S. We have a great community of patients here who reach out, welcome, and support new patients.

Internal Visualization: An Important Component of the Stem Cell Treatment Process

A few posts ago I discussed what it felt like having stem cells in your body.

During that same period I also discovered that there is a way to help aid the flow of stem cells to different parts of your body.

My right leg appears to be the central location for the stem cells for now. When I lie flat on the bed and focus on that area then slowly move my focus up while slightly contracting the muscles associated with the areas I am focusing on, I am able to get the stem cells to move up to the area(s) I want them to.

They don't seem to stay there on there own, but this technique has been useful to help soothe areas that have been irritated by extensive walking or physical therapy sessions.

Second Intravenous Stem Cell Transplant Completed

Yesterday I had my second intravenous stem cell transplant. So far I have had four total and have two more left over the next week or two. Noticed that I seem to have increased discomfort the evening of the shot into the next day. Spoke with some other patients who had the shot and they report the same thing.

Saturday is my free day so I can take time to relax and prepare for physical therapy on Sunday with my therapist Owen "The Destroyer". I call him the destroyer because he works you really hard. Unlike western PT that works you up to the harder parts, they seem to tend to start with the harder parts and keep it consistent throughout.

Tanya's Response to the Wheel Chair Death Ride

So, Tanya wanted to place a response to my post about the wheel chair death ride. I allowed her to do so just to humor her. But she needs to realize that old saying, "The truth will set you free". Enjoy.

Video Progress Update: Week 3

Had some difficulty uploading this video due to it's size in addition to the fact that we intermittently lose the WiFi access throughout the day.
