Today we arranged to go with a few other patients and families to visit the coastal area of Qingdao which is about an hour away. We had two drivers with wheel chair accessible vans. Jessica, a Chinese student studying English who was a friend of one of the patients joined us. This was helpful because she was able to help us communicate with the drivers as well as at the points of interest we visited. A few of the stops we went to included a local Chinese temple, a Chinese seafood restaurant, and the May 4th Square which was one of the sites of the Olympics as well as the Paralympics. My sight seeing trip was very interesting as you will hear in the video clip below.
