What Do Stem Cells Feel Like?

When I read about the experiences of others who have had umbilical cord stem cell transplants, the one thing many of them describe is their renewed sensation of feeling. Ever since my first treatment I have begun experiencing this "renewed sensation of feeling". The only thing I can compare this to is that of a warm vapor rub feeling when you use a sports rub or Vicks. In addition, it can also be compared to the pins and needles sensation you sometimes get from a minor injury. I don't know if these descriptions do it justice, but it's there and it is noticeable, particularly while in a sitting or lying position. At this point this might be the traveling stage in which the stem cells are still seeking their destination.

Tomorrow I do another spinal stem cell injection. It will be interesting to see if this feeling persists, disappears, or increases.
